Conclusion

Based on all of the research I have conducted, the ultimate key take away I’m left with to answer the driving question of who I could become is that there is no fixed position or career you have to choose. You can switch things up over time as your interests and skills evolve.  For example Ben started out as a drummer, and as his career evolved, he started doing different jobs.  In Alex’s case he started out as a DJ and for him it was a natural transition to study audio production and engineering.  For me at this moment I see myself making beats, recording, working on post production, growing my social media pages to put my name out there, and then eventually I might branch out into different parts of the field like sound design which at the moment isn’t something that I’m very passionate about.  However, I see myself in the future as someone that will stay interested and motivated to learn more about the world of music, and audio.  In doing this assignment I started to truly understand the importance of social media & content creation, it made me realize that this is something that I should be doing now.  I’ve reached a point where I’m less afraid to show my music to the world.  One of my main fears has been receiving judgment, but now I’m confident enough in my skills to create content around that.  So the best thing that I could do is actually come up with a plan for posting and sticking to it.  Once I’ve built up a decent library of content I should be reaching out to rappers, and other producers.  Ultimately, I could become someone that people reach out to after a while for beats, recording sessions, and post production.
